Santa Maria della Raccomandata is named after the tradition of sailors and fishermen entrusting their souls to the Madonna before embarking on their journeys, seeking her protection. Built in 1719, this church features a beautifully crafted portal and houses several notable artifacts, including a wooden statue of the Madonna, a marble baptismal font from the 1700s, and an altarpiece from 1573.
The church is also the starting point for the procession during the “Festa di Santa Maria Raccomandata” in September, which celebrates the patron saint of the town.
